First Communion normally takes place on the first or second Sunday in June.

It is a two year program. Students may begin in First Grade (age 6). Older students are placed in age-appropriate classes, with some additional support.

For the ceremony, girls normally wear white dresses (no veils) and boys wear white ties (white suits may be worn but are not required).

Candidates should be able to understand what the sacrament means. Normally we require that a student is familiar with the ten commandments and seven sacraments as well as familiar Bible stories.

We try to teach in ways that engage the student, using drawing and drama and games as well as stories.
